Why do I need to be compliant?

Grease Extraction Systems have to be cleaned in accordance with TR19. TR19 identifies that extract systems should be cleaned a minimum of once a yeah, however the frequency stated is solely dependent on your insurers decision.

What is Air Supply?

Air supply Ventilation Systems are systems that bring in air from outside and transfer this throughout the building. Our surveyors will visit on site to conduct a survey, you will receive a technical drawing identifying your system. This will be a technical drawing of air into the building and air travelling out of the building. Air supply systems can become heavily contaminated with bacteria and pollutants, this will build up in the ductwork of the system. Specialist Hygiene Services are members of NAADUK (National Association of Air Duct Cleaners UK), with our compliance manager being the Chairman.  National Air Day is coming up in June! Let’s Check our Air Supply systems safely together. To arrange your free survey, please get in touch.

How do I check my grease extract?

One of SHS’s surveyors will conduct a site survey. These surveys are no obligation and are free of charge. When on site, our qualified surveyors will assess individual systems and create a technical drawing based off of their findings. They will identify the accessibility of the system and will look inside the system and Carry out a micron reading test. Micron Reading Tests allow us to see how inundated (or clean) your system is, from this we can recommend the frequency but insurers have the final say. You can measure the cleanliness and frequency of cleans for your system based on the amount you cook per day. For more information on this please contact us on 01932 787 048

How often should I get my Grease Extract?
